@James with a product like Perch the support happens at install time mainly. So a person buys a license, perhaps needs a bit of help, then gets the site live and we rarely hear from them again – unless they buy a license for a new site and perhaps want to do something a bit different. Couple that with the fact that most of our customers are web designers or developers so once they have worked out how to do something don’t keep coming back and asking, and support is pretty much on a consistent trend along with number of licenses sold.
After almost 2 years we can pretty much predict our support needs – and we are constantly improving the product to prevent the need for some requests.
