Heading home from a fun day in London with my daughter. We did parkrun together, ate lovely food, and saw Jesus Christ Superstar (which is epic, Sam Ryder is amazing). This morning, a run in Regents Park before the fast train to Newcastle.
In Kings Cross listening to a guide explaining British trains to an American tour group. There are far more train rules than I've ever encountered as an actual train traveling Brit.
I'm worried they saw it as a to do list.
Lovely tour of London from the air this morning, landing at LCY. We did a 180 right over The Shard.
Past Rachel thought that current Rachel would enjoy a 6am flight from BER. Current Rachel isn't thrilled. That said, one of the few shops open airside had eight varieties of porridge to choose from.
I have a wailer, one that sounds like a creaky door, and one who has an impressive vocabulary to the extent I often know what he's after based on the noise he is making. He has distinct noises for "cuddles", "food", and "what's this thing?"
In a very hot and humid Berlin for the CSS Working Group meeting. I've missed the last couple of meetings as America keeps inventing new ways to put me off visiting, so I'm excited to be in person for this one.
Also Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling which I have learned is a thing en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cumberl...
Went to a country fair today, there was judging of all kinds of animals, vintage cars, and baked goods.
I made it to 50 and my prescription (I've worn glasses since my mid-20s) had been stable for years. Then my eyes went HAHAHA NOPE OLD LADY, and I now have varifocals, which are great but took a long time to get used to.
