Making Sense of the New CSS Layout

At Fluent Conf in San Francisco I presented a fairly high-speed look at the latest modules for CSS Layout, demonstrating how they work together to form a new system for layout.

O’Reilly recorded all of the sessions so I am able to share this video, with all of the slides embedded with you.

See the resources and code examples that are shown here.

If you want to know more about any of these techniques, my online CSS Workshop takes you through layout from solid techniques for today to an exciting view of the future.

I am also speaking on the subject at a number of conferences this year, and also running workshops in London and Berlin in the coming months.

If you’ve show this video to some web developer in the ~2005 and told him that’s how the future looks like, he would cry out of joy that the nightmare will soon be over. Then cried for real hearing that it’s from a distant 2016.

@Greg – Unfortunately, It’s still the future. Grid isn’t really supported yet in most browsers.
