The code downloads for the projects are now available on the Apress web site here. Also, Apress have launched new support and discussion forums for their books – including all those ex-Glasshaus publications.

Good music

Thea Gilmore has a new single (two singles in fact) released yesterday as well as an album due out on the 11th August. She has been one of my favourite artists since I bought her album The Lipstick Conspiracies, just because it looked interesting, a couple of years ago.

End of an era

So Netscape is no more. To me as a web developer it probably makes little difference, the Mozilla Project continues, there are lots of good alternatives to Internet Explorer around … but it does seem like the end of an era, and its sad that the work that was going on at DevEdge will stop … End of an era

Too Darn Hot

It’s very hot and sticky here, I’m from the North, I don’t recollect it ever getting close to this hot up in Newcastle (I do however remember standing waiting for buses at 6a.m. in gale force winds and sleet …) I am working surrounded by fans and an underpowered aircon unit – more to keep … Too Darn Hot
